Earlier today, gunmen dressed in police uniforms assaulted a police academy in Pakistan, killing twelve people, wounding over ninety police officers, and taking dozens more hostage. The attack lasted for eight hours. Accusations as to who the terrorists are go from angry Indians to the Taliban to Sunni extremists.
Three gunmen killed themselves to avoid being caught, while four other gunmen were arrested. Videos showed many police officers hopping over the academy’s walls and fleeing the scene.
Back up.
Isn’t that a civilian’s job? To run away from the gunfire? You’re a damn POLICE OFFICER. YOU stay at the scene, while the CIVILIANS run away.

Credit to the police officers that stayed and drew their rifles.
Do we need to send more troops into Pakistan to train the Pakistan security? I certainly hope not. We already are doing that in Iraq. While it is helping there, we can’t be sending U.S. troops all over the Middle East.
Where did these gunmen get police uniforms? Is there an inside man supplying them with uniforms?
Worse, some gunmen have escaped. I have no doubt these terrorists will plot another attack. That’s just what these heartless extremists do. They’ll never stop. A quick response to these suicidal maniacs is “they’ll run out of suicide bombers, those morons.” That’s not true. Every day, children are recruited into the army of Islamofascism, by force or by volunteering. Hell, even women are being used as suicide bombers.
President Obama promised aid to Pakistan in the amount of security and military equipment.
Here’s hoping it helps.

A Budget We Can Believe In
Posted by Anthony on March 31, 2009
As most of us know, the budget sent forward by Obama to Congress is going to leave the U.S. with trillions of dollars in debt. But there’s hope. Paul Ryan, a Republican on the House Budget Committee, has sent forth a budget plan opposing Obama’s.
The goals of the new GOP budget round out to the same thing: Getting this economy back on its feet. A daunting task no doubt, but it must be done.
This budget is ripe with “fiscal conservatism”. It kills the “borrow and spend” BS that has plagued the U.S. for a couple of years and melts away debt without *gasp* raising taxes.
According to Ryan, the GOP budget will have a lower deficit every year over Obama’s budget, cutting it in half in ten years.
Energy is similar to the T. Boone Pickens plan, but with focus on lowering greenhouse gas emissions. Okay so there’s some Global Warming crap in there. Can’t be perfect…
“Specifically, couples pay 10% on their first $100,000 in income (singles on $50,000) and 25% above that. Capital gains and dividends are taxed at 15%, and the death tax is repealed.”
“On the business side, the budget permanently cuts the uncompetitive corporate income tax rate — currently the second highest in the industrialized world — to 25%.”
Great on the tax side.
